Cat-n-Bird's Story 

 

"Our story began in October 2013 after a blind set-up by mutual friends and from there, the adventures began. Both being lovers of wine, we began making home made wine: drier reds for Matt and sweeter whites for Robyn.  This new hobby allowed us to share great wine with our friends and soon they wanted to purchase our wine, as it was "California" quality. That's when we began to dream of one day  opening a winery. 

 

    In October 2015, we officially became Mr. and Mrs. Lyons and in April of 2016, purchased a farm home and property on Old Highway 280 in Chelsea, AL. That property would become the realization of our dreams, quicker than we had ever imagined. 

 

    We, along with our three children, currently reside in the upper levels of the farm home. The winery is located  in the basement and is easily accessed from the back of the home. We are advocates of animal rescue and it shows with our 2 horses, 4 dogs, 4 cats, miniature donkey, and 200+ LB pig"
